Cunard's New Ship: Queen Anne
Queen Anne® will be the 249th ship to fly the Cunard® flag since the company's founding in 1839 and the first new build in 12 years. The name 'Queen Anne' celebrates Cunard's rich heritage and royal history - joining a luxury, contemporary fleet now honouring the names of each Queen Regnant over the last millennium.

Queen Anne will be launched in May 2024 and will have 14 decks and 15 dining venues, holding up to 3,000 guests. The vision for this new ship was brought to life by world-renowned designer Adam D. Tihany as Creative Director, working with a team of award-winning designers, including David Collins Studio, Richmond International, and Sybille de Margerie. The team tapped into the Cunard Archives in Liverpool to understand the brand's storied history, using it for inspiration in the layout, fabrics, and textures for the new ship.

In her maiden season, Queen Anne will be sailing in Europe with itineraries including the Canary Islands, British Isles, Norwegian Fjords, Western Mediterranean, and more. On Jan. 9, 2025, Queen Anne will set sail on her maiden World Voyage. This 107-night voyage, roundtrip out of Southampton, England, will call at more than 30 ports on five continents, offering overnight calls in enriching destinations such as Honolulu, Sydney, Hong Kong, and Dubai.

The Cunard Story exhibit on the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California
After being closed for almost three years, the Queen Mary and Cunard celebrated the reopening of The Cunard Story exhibition on Sept. 25 with a dedication honouring Cunard Captain Inger Thorhauge, the line's first female master mariner. Captain Thorhauge has been master of Queen Victoria® and Queen Elizabeth® prior to being named master designate to Cunard's magnificent Queen Anne, due to go into service in May 2024. Captain Thorhauge sailed the elegant Queen Elizabeth to Long Beach during a rendezvous with the Queen Mary in 2019. It is only fitting to honour her place as a trend-setting pioneer in the maritime world with her inclusion in The Cunard Story.

Located in the Port of Long Beach, the Queen Mary features a rich maritime history, authentic Art Deco décor, and stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and Long Beach city skyline. At the time of her maiden voyage in May of 1936, she was considered the grandest ocean liner ever built.
