Summer is just around the corner, so its time to dust off your Adirondack chair, pour a cold beverage and get ready for our latest issue! Packed with thought-provoking features including a deep dive on deep-sea mining and how different bear species are co-existing in Hudson Bay. Plus, inside a Quebec village founded on gold, an uncertain future for the South Saskatchewan River, celebrating the Toronto Zoo's 50th birthday, and more! The July/August 2024 issue hits the newsstands on June 17 in the east and June 24 in the west.

For this issue's cover, we are showcasing the work of award-winning photographer, Martin Gregus. Known for his captivating images of polar bears sleeping amongst fireweed in the Arctic, Gregus has been recognized in some of the world's most prestigious contests, including the People's Choice: Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2022 and the Bronze Medal in Le Prix de la Photographie Paris 2022. Gregus was also highlighted by Canadian Geographic in 2021 after winning the Rising Star Portfolio Award in the Natural History Museum's prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition.
