Dear Aamir, As you may be aware, due to a dispute with the Canadian government over Bill C-18, the Online News Act, Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has announced it will begin blocking access to news on those platforms for Canadian users. This means that if you reside in Canada, you will soon no longer be able to view Canadian Geographic content on Facebook or Instagram. As a publication dedicated to making Canada better known to Canadians and the world, we value our Canadian community and have enjoyed sharing the best of Canada with you on social media over the past decade. We will continue to share stories, photos and other updates on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, where you can find us at @cangeo.
