Grizzly Bears of Toba Inlet – 4 nights – we welcome the arrival of spawning Pacific salmon each year. This breathtaking backdrop of Klahoose Wilderness draws Grizzly Bears to the yɛkʷamɛn (Toba Inlet) where they socialize with each other and feast on the bounty of salmon. From viewing towers, set along a remote river we have optimal sight lines to view the bears in their natural habitat.

We are happy to share the Klahoose Wilderness Resort was awarded the "Indigenous Operator or Experience Award" at the 2023 BC Tourism and Hospitality Awards. The award goes out to each one of our amazing team that works hard to help support the authentic experience and work passionately to share their home with our guests. And the award goes out to each visitor that chooses to stay with us, with an intention of experiencing and supporting Indigenous tourism.

KLAHOOSE WILDERNESS RESORT SUPPORTS an expanding tourism portfolio. Guests can now explore this resplendent region through its Grizzly Bear Viewing tours, and Lodge at the Klahoose Wilderness Resort. True to their ethos, all businesses are fully committed to protecting the environment, its wildlife, and natural resources for future generations. Our off-grid resort produces its own power and stores excess power. In 2022, the resort was awarded the B.C. Government's new 'First Nations Clean Energy Business Fund' grant to help finance the redesign of the resort's water intake, Pelton Wheel (hydro-wheel), and storage capacity. Klahoose Wilderness Resort also assists the North Island Marine Mammal Stewardship Association (NIMMSA) and the Commercial Bear Viewing Association of BC (CBVA) through collecting conservation fees from guests both go towards habitat conservation, education and developing and supporting best practices for whale watching and bear viewing. Also, the resort purchases locally sourced goods and foods, employs Indigenous staff and partners with local artists. Reconciliation Through Travel:
